Mumbai, Jan 22 (IANS) Automobile major Maruti Suzuki on Friday informed that it plans to expand the number of its premium showrooms — Nexa outlets — to 250 by next year.

The company disclosed its plans after inaugurating the 100th Nexa outlet in Mumbai on Friday.

“We are delighted to start the 100th Nexa showroom ahead of our plan. Through Nexa, we want to meet the diverse expectations of our customers,” said R.S. Kalsi, executive director (marketing and sales), Maruti Suzuki India.
The premium outlet was launched in July 2015. It reached the milestone of 100 showrooms within six months of launch.

According to the company, through the premium outlet it will continue to reach out to a broader range of customers across the country.
Further, the company revealed that the number of relationship managers at its Nexa showrooms will increase from 2,500 to 5,000.
The automobile manufacturer added that the premium showroom is one of its major initiatives to achieve its target of selling two million vehicles per annum by 2020.
Currently, the company sells its premium crossover S-Cross and premium hatchback Baleno through Nexa.
