Howrah, Oct 1 (IANS) Relatives of passengers stranded at different places en route to the Howrah station in West Bengal Saturday demonstrated in front of Railway Minister Dinesh Trivedi who flagged off new trains here.
‘Because of the flagging off programme here, many trains were stranded at different places like Santragachi. The passengers are facing severe problems as they were scheduled to reach Howrah many hours earlier,’ said Debabrata Mukherjee, a protester.
But the Trianamool Congress minister alleged that the demonstration was a handiwork of the Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M) cadres.
‘This is the handiwork of CPI-M cadres. The party has become mentally unstable as a lot of trains were flagged off today,’ Trivedi said.
