Mumbai, Feb 1 (IANS) R.P.P. Infra Tuesday said it has bagged a project worth Rs.1 billion in a joint venture with Resurgent Gabon, a Gabonese company, thus making an entry into the West African market.
‘The joint venture has won a prestigious special economic zone (SEZ) project. The Gabon contract is worth Rs.1 billion,’ the company said in a regulatory filing.
The venture would leverage R.P.P. Infra project’s SEZ development experience and expertise and the joint venture partner would provide local support and liasion with various agencies in Gabon, it added.
AS part of the contract, the company will provide six-lane access roads to the special economic zone. RPP Infra would lay cost effective highly durable metalled-top roads using state of the art equipment.
The Hyderabad-based company expects to complete this project in eight months, the statement said.
At the Bombay Stock Exchange, the shares of the company were up 2.75 percent at Rs.58.
