Mumbai, April 29 (Inditop) Indian equities markets pulled down shutters high in the green Wednesday, with a key index gaining more than 400 points over its previous close, a day before futures and options contracts expire.
The 30-scrip sensitive index (Sensex) of the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), which opened at 11,091.56 points, rose 413.21 points or 3.76 percent from the previous close to end trade at 11,414.96 points.
Similarly, the S&P CNX Nifty of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) gained 3.5 percent to close at 3,480 points.
Broader market indices also gained, with the BSE midcap index moving up 1.98 percent, while the BSE smallcap index was up 1.34 percent.
