Mumbai, June 24 (Inditop.com) A key index of the Indian equities markets bounced back Wednesday after staying flat in earlier sessions to shut shop higher than its previous close.
The benchmark index of the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), the Sensex, which opened at 14,376.82 points, ended trade at 14,410.48 points (provisional) – 86.47 points or 0.6 percent lower than Tuesday’s close.
Similarly, the S&P CNX Nifty of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) ended the day 0.95 percent up at 4,287.45 points.
Broader market indices did much better, with the BSE midcap index ending 2.34 percent up, while the BSE smallcap index closed 2.34 percent higher than its previous close.
