Mumbai, June 4 (IANS) A benchmark index for Indian equities Friday was trading weak in morning trade amid dull cues from other Asian bourses.
The 30-scrip sensitive index (Sensex) of the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), which opened at 17,036.55 points, was ruling at 16,980.5 points, 41.83 points or 0.25 percent down from its previous close at 17,022.33 points.
At the National Stock Exchange (NSE), the broader 50-share S&P CNX Nifty was ruling at 5,099.55 points, down 0.21 percent from its previous close.
Broader markets indices were flat.
