Mumbai, July 3 (Inditop.com) A key index of the Indian equities market was trading flat Friday, ruling just 20 points lower than its last closing figure about 10 minutes into trade.

The benchmark index of the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), the Sensex, which opened lower at 14,552.72 points, rose soon after to rule at 14,683.37 points, 20.12 points or 0.14 percent below Wednesday’s close.

The S&P CNX Nifty of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) was also hovering around its previous close to rule at 4,340.6 points, 0.19 percent lower.

Broader market indices were trading similar to the benchmark index, with the BSE midcap index ruling 0.31 percent lower and the BSE smallcap index moving down 0.05 percent.
