Mumbai, June 22 (Inditop.com) A key index of the Indian equities markets started the week on a positive note Monday, rising more than 93 points within five minutes of the opening bell.
The benchmark index of the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), the Sensex, which opened higher at 14,521.28 points was ruling at 14,615.3 points, 93.81 points or 0.65 percent above Friday’s close.
The S&P CNX Nifty of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) too moved up from the opening bell, rising 0.36 percent to rule at 4,329.05 points around the same time.
Broader market indices also rose, with the BSE midcap index ruling 0.94 percent higher and the BSE smallcap index moving up 1.05 percent.
