Mumbai, Sep 23 (Inditop.com) The benchmark index of the Indian stock markets Wednesday made a wobbly start and was ruling 26 points in the red, about five minutes into trade.

The 30-share Sensex of the Bombay Stock Exchange opened at 16,905.5 points, above its closing figure of 16,886.43 points Tuesday. Within the first five minutes, however, it was ruling at 16,859.49 points, 26.94 points or 0.16 percent lower than its previous close.

Around the same time, the broader S&P CNX Nifty of the National Stock Exchange was at 5,014.1 points, 0.12 percent below its previous close at 5,020.2 points.
