Mumbai, May 15 (Inditop) Indian equities markets continued to be on an uptrend Friday afternoon, with a key index building on early gains to rise around 329 points about an hour before close.
The 30-scrip sensitive index (Sensex) of the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), which opened at 11,948.7 points, was ruling 329.18 points or 2.77 percent higher at 12,202.09 points.
Similarly, the S&P CNX Nifty of the National Stock Exchange (NSE), gained 2.45 percent from its previous close and was trading at 3,681.35 points.
Broader market indices were also ruling in the green, with the BSE midcap index gaining 2.02 percent and the BSE smallcap index gaining 1.64 percent.
