Mumbai, Nov 26 (Inditop.com) A key Indian equities index slipped soon after opening bell Thursday and was ruling about 34 points down, 10 minutes into trade.
The sensitive index (Sensex) of the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) opened the day at 17,199.05 points, against Wednesday’s close at 17,198.95 points but soon slipped to 17,164.91 points, down 0.2 percent or 34.04 points in about 10 minutes of trading.
Around the same time, at the National Stock Exchange (NSE), the broader 50-share S&P CNX Nifty was ruling at 5,094.15 points, against the previous close at 5,108.15 points, a loss of 0.27 percent.
Broader market indices were holding up with the BSE midcap index up 0.18 percent and the BSE small cap index ruling 0.42 percent higher.
