Hyderabad, April 16 (IANS) Construction giant Shapoorji Pallonji plans to invest Rs.20,000 crore in building infrastructure, including roads, flyovers and separators at road junctions here.
This was stated by Telangana government on Thursday after Shapoorji Pallonji chairman Shapoor P. Mistry and other officials met with Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao here.
Mistry evinced interest to be a partner in the development of the newly created state. The team enquired about the development projects and the new industrial policy, said a statement from the chief minister’s office.
The chief minister explained the projects proposed to solve the problem of traffic congestion in Hyderabad. He also briefed the team about the plans to build a new state secretariat, modern police headquarter and an auditorium.
Mistry said his company would make the investment to make Hyderabad a global city. The company representatives and government officials will soon hold talks in this regard, added the statement.
