Kolkata, Sep 17 (Inditop.com) City-based engineering and construction company Simplex Projects Ltd (SPL) will build multi-level car parking facilities in Guwahati and Noida, a top official said here Thursday.

“We have bid for multi-level car parking projects in Mumbai, Chennai and Pune as well,” B.K. Mundhra, chairman and managing director of Simplex, told reporters after the company’s annual general meeting.

The Guwahati project will have a capacity to park 500 cars, while the Noida facility’s capacity will be 900 cars.

The company already owns a car parking facility in Kolkata.

Simpark Infrastructure, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Simplex Projects, is engaged in the business of installation, development, operation and maintenance of multi-level automated car parking systems.

Asked about the investment plans for the Noida and Guwahati projects, Mundhra said: “Noida is a cash project, where we are not investing anything. It will be done by the development authority and for the Guwahati one we are still working out financial details.”

Simpark is also building flyovers in Rajarhat in the suburbs of Kolkata and in Patna, he said.

Simplex has set up a subsidiary, Simplex Projects (Netherlands) Cooperatie UA, to foray into the European market.

The profit after tax of the company last fiscal stood at Rs.19.91 crore.
