Mumbai, Oct 7 (IANS) The Swiss International Air Lines will offer daily flights on both its Indian routes- Mumbai and Delhi- in the winter schedule from Oct 31, a spokesperson said Thursday.
The Mumbai-Zurich route gets one additional flight to the current six in the weekly schedule, while on the Delhi-Zurich route two additional flights would be added to the current five weekly flights.
‘With these additional flights, we respond to a very encouraging increase in demand and considerably strengthen our commitment to the Indian market,’ said Jean-Philippe Benoit, general manager (India) of Swiss International Air Lines.
‘Indian customers respond very favourably to our new A330-300 service, launched last year. This uniquely stylish and comfortable product attracts additional travellers in all classes and supports our growth in this extremely important market,’ Benoit added.
From Oct 31, 2010 to 27 March 2011, Swiss will serve 72 destinations (48 European and 24 intercontinental) in 39 countries with a fleet of 87 aircraft. More than 25 further points will be served from Zurich in collaboration with codeshare partners.
