New Delhi, March 22 (IANS) The fallout of the Japanese disaster and the crises in the Arab world may impact on commodity prices like fuels, even as it was too early to get a complete fix on the matter, Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee said Tuesday.
‘The adverse impact on the economy cannot be anticipated right now,’ the minister told the Lok Sabha during a debate on the Finance Bill, tabled by him last month.
‘Yet, all this may have some impact on us,’ he said, while assuring the members he was keeping a close watch on the developments and would take timely and appropriate measures as and when warranted.
