Bengaluru, April 21 (IANS) Software major Wipro Ltd. on Tuesday reported net profit of Rs.2,272 crore for the fourth quarter (January-March) of the just-concluded 2014-15 fiscal, posting a marginal year-on-year (YoY) growth of 2 percent, as per the Indian accounting standard.
Sequentially, however, net profit grew 3.6 percent from third quarter (October-December) of the fiscal under review (FY 2015).
In a regulatory filing to the stock exchanges, the company said revenue grew 4 percent YoY to Rs.12,142 crore for the quarter under review (Q4), which was 1.2 percent up sequentially from third quarter (Q3).
Under the International Financial Reporting Standard (IFRS), net income for the quarter at $366 million was 5.1 percent up sequentially, while gross income at $1.9 billion was flat sequentially from the previous (third) quarter.
Revenue from IT services increased 3.2 percent YoY to $1,775 million but decreased 1.2 percent sequentially in dollar terms under IFRS, while it increased in rupee terms 6 percent YoY to Rs.11,242 crore.
IT products revenue declined 15 percent YoY to Rs.945 crore in the quarter (Q4).
