New Delhi, July 19 (Inditop.com) A 23-year-old woman and her two-year-old daughter were found hanging from the ceiling fan of their house in Dabri area of southwest Delhi Sunday, police said.
According to police, the incident came to light Sunday afternoon when the husband of the deceased woman Kiran Raj returned home.
“When Johhny Raj, husband of the deceased, returned home at around 12.30 p.m. he found Kiran Raj and their daughter Gracy hanging form the ceiling. Immediately he took both of them off but both had died by then. He then informed us about the incident,” a senior police officer said.
The police recovered a suicide note, which the woman has addressed to her husband.
“Though Kiran has written that she doesn’t want anyone to be blamed she has said to her husband that now he can be free – as she was killing herself and her daughter. The girl’s family member said that there was some problem relating to Johnny’s behavior,” said the official, adding that the family has not complained to them as yet.
“It seems to be a case of suicide but we are not ruling out any angle. Johhny’s mother Vimla said that the couple used to have regular fights over many issues but there was nothing wrong with his son’s character,” the police officer said.
The neighbours said they used to hear their fights regularly over financial expenses and other small things. “The couple reportedly had a big fight Saturday after which Johhny had left the home at night and returned on Sunday afternoon only,” the police officer added..
“The couple was married for the last five years. While Kiran was a housewife, Johhny used to take tuitions and also used to work as a volunteer with a church in the R.K Puram area,” the police said.
The officer further said: “We are trying to establish the exact reason of the suicide and death of the two-year-old girl.”
