Ranchi, Oct 10 (Inditop.com) A branch manager of the State Bank of India (SBI) was kidnapped by unidentified men from Garwah district of Jharkhand, police said Saturday.
Vijay Kumar Sharma was abducted late Friday when he was returning home on his bike. He is a manager of the Ramna branch of SBI in Garwah, around 145 km from Ranchi.
“The bank manager was returning on a bike with another person. Around six men stopped them at gun point near Meral colony of Garwah and abducted the bank manger. Ransom seems to the reason behind the abduction,” a police officer told Inditop.
Sharma’s family members have yet not received any ransom call, the officer added.
