Chandigarh, Oct 30 (Inditop.com) Four Delhi residents had a narrow escape when the car in which they were travelling to Chandigarh turned into a ball of fire after colliding with a tractor-trolley.

The Hyundai Accent car (DL 1CJ 1660) was travelling at a high speed when it hit the tractor trolley in Shahbad town, 65 km from here, on National Highway (NH)-1 between Ambala and Delhi.

All four occupants not only survived the collision but were able to jump out of the vehicle as it caught fire within seconds. The car was a ball of fire and fire brigade rushed to extinguish the fire.

Traffic on the busy NH-1 was affected as the car burnt for some time. The vehicle was completely destroyed in the fire.

“The fire was put out by fire brigade personnel after some time. The occupants jumped out in time and are safe,” Haryana police officer Pritam Singh said.
