Meerut, Oct 5 (Inditop.com) A 28-year-old man was arrested Monday from Meerut district in Uttar Pradesh with fake Indian currency notes of Rs.2 lakh, police said.

“Rajveer was arrested from the main Meerut city on a tip-off and fake currency mostly in the denomination of Rs.50 was recovered from him,” Superintendent of Police (city) P.P. Singh told Inditop.

“We also recovered a colour printer, a scanner and a computer from his hideout in the city. He (Rajveer) used to produce fake currency mostly of small denomination notes of Rs.50 and Rs.100 and used to circulate them in suburban areas of the state,” he added.
