New Delhi, July 18 (Inditop.con) As many 609 people were fined Friday night for drunken driving, a Delhi Police official said Saturday.
The checking was conducted between 9 p.m. and midnight at 40 locations around popular pubs, bars, restaurants and major thoroughfares in the capital.
“During the drive, a total of 609 people were fined. This includes 392 for drunken driving and 90 for dangerous driving. About 48 vehicles were also impounded,” said a police official.
