Bhopal, Oct 30 (Inditop.com) A bid to rape a Dalit woman in Sampark Kranti train was foiled by the passengers and the accused was handed over to the Government Railway Police (GRP) at Amla town in Madhya Pradesh, police said Friday.
According to police, the victim was travelling from Kishangarh to Delhi in the general compartment. She went to the bathroom when the accused, Sanjay Soni, 24, also entered the toilet and tried to rape her, GRP official Lokesh Marko told Inditop by phone.
The incident took place late Thursday.
When the woman tried to raise an alarm, the passengers broke open the doors of the toilet and nabbed Soni, police said.
