Patna, Aug 19 (Inditop.com) A day after an angry mob of students set four coaches of the Delhi-Patna Shramjivi Express train on fire following an altercation with Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel at Bihta near here, the police have decided to identify the culprits through video clippings and will take stern action against them.

“All those elements found involved in leading or instigating the mob to damage railway properties would be identified and stern action would be initiated against them,” Additional Director General of Police Neelmani said.

Police sources told Inditop Wednesday that they suspect the involvement of some locals.

“The four coaches burnt were worth Rs.3.5 crore (Rs.35 million) as each AC coach costs a minimum of RS.75 lakh,” a railway official said.

In view of the latest incident, the police have decided to set up a separate control room for the government railway police and the RPF.

Railway sources said that the Bihta incident was the second in three months where students burnt train compartments to vent their anger. In June students burnt four compartments of two trains at Khusrupur, about 32 km from Patna.
