New Delhi, Jan 22 (Inditop.com) Two men with suspected links to Pakistan’s spy agency ISI were arrested here with fake Indian currency notes of face value Rs.135,000, the police said Friday.
Mohammad Hamid, 23, and Malkiyat Singh, 33, were arrested from south Delhi Thursday.
“The fake Indian currency notes recovered from them are of very fine quality. The standard security features like water mark, security thread and paper used in the fake currency notes are of such quality that it is difficult to detect with a naked eye,” Deputy Commissioner of Police (south Delhi) H.G.S. Dhaliwal said.
“Both men were in touch with Pakistan’s spy agency Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) which is pushing fake Indian currency into India to destablise the economy. We are interrogating them to arrest their other accomplices,” he added.
