Lucknow, Aug 29 (Inditop.com) Two men have been arrested with nearly three kg of heroin in Uttar Pradesh. The drug was suspected to have been supplied from Pakistan, police said Saturday.

Arvind Kumar and Janendra Jaiswal – both in mid 20s – were Friday nabbed near the Mugalsarai railway station at Chandauli, about 300 km from Lucknow, jointly by the Special Operation Group (SOG) and police.

“Kumar and Jaiswal have confessed that Shabbir Ahmad, based in Kota in Rajasthan, supplied them heroin from Pakistan,” Chandauli district police chief Lakshminarayan told Inditop.

A police officer said the seized heroin was worth Rs.3 crore (Rs.30 million) in the international market.
