Mumbai, April 29 (Inditop) Pakistani singer Adnan Sami has shifted his critically-ill father from Criticare to Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital and says all the arrangements were made following a call to Anil Ambani.

“Within no time at all Anil arranged everything. An ambulance came to get my father from Criticare, took instant tests to see if he was up to travelling to the other hospital. On reaching they insisted on doing every single test on my father from scratch,” Adnan, who shifted his father Saturday evening to the hospital, told IANS.

“Anil and Tina Ambani and their medical facilities are a pillar of strength outside the family. My brother is flying down. I haven’t felt so hopeful about my father since he fell ill,” added Adnan.

A Pakistani by descent, Adnan was born and brought up in Britain. He has been living in Mumbai for quite some time. His father Arshad Sami Khan, who was a Pakistani diplomat, has been diagnosed with cancer of the pancreas. Early this year when Adnan’s father was down in Mumbai from Houston for a holiday, he had a relapse of the cancer and was taken to Criticare.

Adnan says he had full faith in medical facilities provided at Criticare, but moved his father to Ambani Hosptial on behest of his friends.

“I had full faith in the medical facilities at Criticare. But all my friends from the film industry kept advising me about the more advanced facilities at the Ambanis’ hospital. I was hesitant because I didn’t want my comatose father to be moved and also because I didn’t want it to seem as though I had lost faith in the doctors and facilities at Criticare,” said Adnan.

The singer is known for songs like “Kabhi to nazar milao” and “Lift kara de”.
