Mumbai, Feb 1 (IANS) Hindi entertainment channel Colors and MTV India have been launched in Singapore to cater to the south-east Asian diaspora familiar with Bollywood entertainment.
Colors, known for popular fiction series ‘Balika Vadhu’ and ‘Uttaran’, reality shows like ‘Chak Dhoom Dhoom’ and for showcasing latest Bollywood films, will be available on both networks – StarHub as well as SingTel’s Mio TV platform.
But MTV, which has just started its eighth season of cult show ‘Roadies’, will only be part of Mio platform.
Both the channels come under the umbrella of Viacom 18 Media Private Limited.
‘After our successful launches in the US, the UK and the Middle East, we are pleased to now offer the best of entertainment to our viewers in Singapore,’ Rajesh Kamat, Group COO – Viacom18 and CEO, Colors, said in a press statement.
Colors has just lined up big ticket reality shows including Preity Zinta hosted ‘Guinness World Record- Ab India Todega’ amongst others. The channel would also premiere movies like ‘Golmaal 3’, ‘Tees Maar Khan’, ‘7 Khoon Maaf’ apart from other new titles in the months to come.
