Manoj took lessons from ‘sunar’ for ‘Dus Tola’

Bollywood actor Manoj Bajpayee reveals he took lessons from a ‘sunar’ to make his role of a goldsmith in ‘Dus Tola’ look as realistic as possible.

‘I did take lessons from a professional sunar to understand the nuances of jewellery-making to enact it convincingly on screen,’ said Manoj.

‘But I cannot make jewellery independently. It is a different art. However, I do understand it quite a bit now and know how much of effort and labour goes into handmade pieces.

‘When I was young, I used to sit at the jewellery shop of one of my closest friend. He would allow me to do small things and attend customers too. And now in this film, I am actually playing a goldsmith,’ he added.
