Mumbai, Dec 13 (Inditop.com) French actress Helene de Fougerolles, who was here for the French film festival, says she loves Indian movies as they cater to everyone unlike cinema in France.

“I love Indian cinema because it’s made for everyone. It’s unlike French cinema, as there are different sects of audiences for every genre and you can’t satisfy all with one film,” Helene told Inditop.

Her film “Mutants” was screened during the French Film Festival here last week. Directed by David Morley, “Mutants” is a horror movie that shows the world devastated by a pandemic virus that turns human beings into primitive and bloodthirsty creatures.

And Helene didn’t have much trouble doing the scary flick but was perturbed by the cold weather conditions they shot in.

“It was easy because you don’t need to think so much. What you see is those awful things running after you and you run, that’s all,” said Helene.

Helene loves horror films and she had always wanted to do one.

“It was always my fantasy to do one horror movie. I won’t do more, because in France people do not appreciate horror movies,” Helene rued.

Asked about the most difficult scene in the film, she said: “It was very cold while we were shooting for the film…it was snowing. I had to crawl in the snow, wearing a sleeveless dress. It took two days to shoot the scene, it was very difficult.”

The actress hopes “Mutants” would be liked by audiences in India.

“People would like it as it has both romance and action,” said Helene.

Unlike any other French movie, “Mutants” was made on a tight budget of 1.5 million Euros.

“I am very proud of this movie as it has come out so well in such a low budget of 1.5 million Euro only, whereas films are normally made in 10 million Euros,” said Helene.

So would she like to try her hand at Indian cinema in future?

“Always….if anyone offers me a film I will immediately accept it,” she replied.
