Amidst loads of news going around B-town, Neil Nitin Mukesh (NNM) being offered a role in the hit HBO series Game Of Thrones (GoT) was setting the town ablaze. Apparently there is a new twist in the tale when an HBO spokesperson confirmed the news that NNM was never offered the role in the first place. Apparently the stunt director Gary Powell who was working with NNM on Prem Ratan Dhan Payo seemed to be impressed by the actor and apparently might have put up a wild idea that maybe he should have starred on the show given his extreme white complexion.
Apparently NNM could not have been able to make head of a compliment that he must have received considering he gets them but so rarely, he might have wildly misunderstood it as being offered a role in the TV show which was never going to happen as there are many better actors in B-town than NNM to be offered a role in such a hit show given his Bollywood record.
The saddest part about the incident is not that NNM won’t be going to Hollywood, but rather the actor is going to have to go through another round of ridicule on social media like when it was when the news of the offer came to fore. We pity poor Neil who now has no idea what is in store for him on the other side of this but we can’t help but wonder what might have caused this in the first place.
The fact that his new movie is being released, it could very well be a publicity stunt to garner attention for the movie, but using the name of a hit TV series GoT seems too cheap even for Bollywood. Maybe he might have been offered a role and the producer must have checked out he reaction of social media and feared the same reaction for his show as well if he casted NNM must have gone back on the decision to cast him.
Whatever might be the decision, we are happy that at least he will not be killed on screen. As for the other fact, we will support you NNM and wish you the very best for his new movie and in Bollywood as a whole.
