The whole Bollywood circle and social media was abuzz alike when the news came in that Neil Nitin Mukesh was to be cast in the next season of Game Of Thrones (GoT). He would now be joining the ranks of Anil Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra to be a part of a foreign television show. It all came into picture when Hollywood stunt director Greg Powell who is also the stunt director for GoT was working on Neil Nitin Mukesh’s new movie Prem Ratan Dhan Payo where he has directed a sword fighting scene and was really impressed by Neil Nitin Mukesh (NNM).
Now the 33 year old actor who has not had a good run in his Bollywood career here will be trying out his luck in Hollywood post this but it is still not clear because the producer of the show is still to make his offer to Neil Nitin yet. It is no wonder to expect this but the entire social media was abuzz with shocks and jokes on NNM on his joining GoT.
Now one has to know that a lot of characters in GoT have been dying or killed lately by the writers, so one can always expect that the director needs someone new to the scene to be killed maybe? Well, one cannot really deny the possibility of it. Add to that the presence of nudes scenes in the show, NNM said that he does not mind doing them if it is called for in the script. So we are going to consider that as a yes.
GoT is a very popular show all around the world and even here in India, so it will be interesting to see if the presence of a Bollywood actor in the show now peaks the interests of many others or does it likely the kill the interest of the current fans who know NNM’s track record and his acting. It will all be clear when GoT comes to the small screen next spring but there are chances it might get delayed. We would love to see a few more bad guys dead, but a request to the director and the writers, do not kill the good guys please; it is not a show about last man standing.
