The Dirty Picture and Kahaani Actress Vidya Balan is back and she will be seen on the silver screen in her new movie “Te3n” (even we have no clue as to how to pronounce this exactly, but once we have anything, we will get back to you immediately). In this movie she will be playing the role of a Police Officer.
But the main reason why Vidya is so excited about working in this film is because she is working with no other than the great Amitabh Bachchan. “I am playing a cop in the film. It’s a special appearance, but I was excited about doing it because it’s a fabulous script. I’ll get a chance to shoot again in Kolkata with Mr. Bachchan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Sujoy,” Vidya said.
Te3n is being directed by Ribhu Dasgupta and produced by the Kahaani director Sujoy Ghosh. The actress is ecstatic with the reunion of the old cast with whom she feels very much comfortable and at home. Vidya Balan opened up about the movie during the launch of Piyush Jha’s new book “Raakshas India’s No. 1 Serial Killer”.
Just like Kahaani, this movie is also being shot in Kolkata and Vidya seemed really happy about it. When asked more about the movie she said, “This is not ‘Kahaani‘. Its story is very different and I’m enjoying it. I have been shooting in Kolkata and I actually love shooting there. Many from the team are the same who had worked on ‘Kahaani‘. It’s always fun with Sujoy and there is Mr. Bachchan and Nawaz too.”
It seems that the actress has developed quite some fondness for both Kolkata and Amitabh Bachchan. The actress has not been seen on screen for quite some time now since her last movie Humari Adhuri Kahaani was not great a success at the box office and so Vidya is hoping that this movie gets her back the success that she enjoyed during the days of The Dirty Picture and Kahaani. The actress had gained quite some weight post her marriage but she seems to be betting back on track to her healthy self.
Vidya was also asked if she thought Kolkata was lucky for her since the movies she has shot in that city have always done well in the box office. Her reply was very amusing where she said, “I don’t know that. When a film is well-made, it automatically becomes lucky. We’re just trying to make a good film and right now, we’re enjoying a lot while working.”
