New Delhi, April 18 (IANS) The Korean Cultural Centre here has announced the online auditions of the fourth edition of K-POP 2015 festival, where artistes of the popular music genre compete with one another.
In the new edition of K-POP 2015, auditions are happening on a larger scale, and not just across India, but other neighbouring countries Sri Lanka, Bhutan and Nepal are also participating.
With two and ahalf months of online auditions, K-POP will continue to pore through the submissions on their website and will prepare for the August 29 announcement of semi-finalists.
The finale will be held in Delhi on August 29 at Siri Fort Auditorium, said a statement.
K-POP is a music genre from South Korea, consisting of dance-pop, pop ballad, electronic, rock, hip-hop and R&B.
The preliminary rounds will happen in each zone and will witness the grandeur and craze of K-POP in the northeast, Chennai, Bangalore, Mumbai Kolkata, Bhutan, Sri Lanka, Nepal and New Delhi.
“We were overwhelmed by the enthusiasm of the people last year. We are expecting K-POP 2015 to be one of the most sensational events of the year,” Kim Kum-Pyoung, director, Korean Cultural Centre, said in a statement.
“It’s the ultimate platform for the gifted and talented young performers to showcase their talent and challenge themselves to achieve their goals,” he added.
