Mumbai, June 25 (IANS) “ABCD 2”, starring Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor, has ‘danced’ away to Rs.50 crore-plus in the first five days of its release and its director, Remo D’Souza, credits the film’s script and not the awe-inspiring choreography for the success.

An out-and-out dance-based film, “ABCD 2”, which released June 19, has been noticed by film buffs as well as critics for its well-shot and beautifully choreographe dance sequences. But Remo doesn’t agree with this theory.
“‘ABCD – AnyBody Can Dance’ and ‘ABCD 2’ has succeeded not merely because of dance, but mainly because of its good script. Viewers have loved the story and that’s why my movies have done well at the box office. No film can do well purely on the basis of dance,” Remo said here.
Emphasising that he is not just a ‘dance film director’, he cited the example of his debut directorial “F.A.L.T.U.”, and said: “I didn’t start out my directorial career with a dance film as I knew people thought a choreographer will easily make a dance film. And even with a non-dance film, I had delivered a successful film.”
