Mumbai, Oct 2 (IANS) Awe-inspiring stunts and dance moves by Mumbai-based Suresh and Vernon Group took away the winning trophy of ‘India’s Got Talent 3’, it was announced at the reality show’s grand finale, aired Saturday night.
The group, comprising 30 artistes, all below 25 years of age, held the audience and judges with their spellbound act. They received Rs.50 lakhs along with a TV set by special guest Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan.
‘I am privileged to be here today. It is one-of-a kind platform that’s doing a phenomenal job of finding unique and interesting talent from various parts of India. I am proud to be here,’ said Shah Rukh, who came to promote his forthcoming superhero film ‘RA.One’.
The finalists included magician Kuddroli Canes from Mangalore, young salsa dancers BAD Salsa from Kolkata, Banglore-based painter Vilas Naik, hip-hop dancer Sanjay Dhaka from Jaipur and Chandigarh-based spiritual rock band The Madhavas Group.
The second and third position went to BAD Salsa and The Madhavas Group, respectively, and they received a cheque of Rs.100,000 each.
The finale, aired on Colors, not only saw a melange of power-packed performances by the finalists but also the previous seasons’ winners — Prince Dance Group, that won the first season, and Shillong Chamber Choir, winners of the show’s second season.
Besides the show’s judges – Dharmendra, Kirron Kher and Sonali Bendre, it was Bollywood Badshah Shah Rukh who added glamour to the ceremony as he came to promote his forthcoming film ‘Ra.One’.
The actor grooved to the music and left the audience laughing with his witty and humorous one liners.
‘India’s Got Talent 3’, which gives a platform to talent from every nook and corner of the country, went on air around three months ago. The third season was hosted by Meiyang Chang and Gautam Rode.
