New Delhi, Aug 17 (IANS) Delhi reported 23 more confirmed cases of dengue Tuesday taking the total number of people infected by the disease this year to 277, an official said.
‘There were 23 more cases from Delhi today (Tuesday),’ a health official of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) said.
One person has died due to dengue this year in Delhi.
Dengue is transmitted to humans by the Aedes mosquito and its symptoms include fever, joint and bone pain, nausea, vomiting, headache and fatigue.
The capital reported 548 cases of dengue in 2007, 1,312 in 2008 and 1,153 in 2009.
