Bhopal, May 25 (Inditop) Three Food Corp of India (FCI) employees including a manager have been booked in Tikamgarh district of Madhya Pradesh on the charge of committing irregularities while purchasing wheat at support price.
“A case has been registered against manager-cum-controller K.B. Gupta and technical assistants M.K. Shrivastav and Sanjeev Badkul following a complaint,” district collector K.P. Rahi told IANS on phone.
The complaint was filed by a junior supply officer.
“Apart from this, market committee secretary Praveen Jain has been suspended,” Rahi said.
The action was taken after Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan inspected an FCI purchase centre in Tikamgarh last week following a complaint about exploitation of farmers and ordered a probe.
