London, May 10 (Inditop.com) Singer Boy George has revealed that he regrets his past behaviour.

The singer, real name George O’Dowd, who last year served four months of a 15-month sentence for false imprisonment of a male escort, who he attacked with a chain says some of his behaviour was unacceptable but blames it on his drug addiction.

“In the past, I would probably have said I was not regretful – but now I would say that there are lots of things I regret. Absolutely. I think it would be really stupid of me to say there weren’t.

“Once, I would not have owned up to that because of belligerence. I’d say, ‘I’m not going to apologise for what I’ve done’ and ‘What’s it got to do with you?” contactmusic.com quoted him as saying.

“When I first started taking drugs, I took the attitude of, ‘Well it’s my life, it’s my body, I’m not hurting anybody but myself. “But I realise now that you are always hurting other people, because people love you and they care about you. No matter how much you think you are an island, you are always making someone else miserable when you are doing that.”

The “Karma Chameleon” hitmaker also says that while he can’t change the past, he is doing his best to make amends for his past behaviour.

He said, “So I think that now I would say that there are a lot of things that I regret, a lot of things that I wish I had done differently. But I can’t change it. All I can do is make sure it doesn’t happen again”.
