London, Jan 6 (Inditop.com) A California judge has dismissed a misdemeanour battery charge against Scottish actor Gerard Butler following a bust-up with a paparazzo.
The Los Angeles City Attorney filed the charge against Butler in May after investigating claims that the “300” star attacked a snapper outside the premiere party of British director Guy Ritchie’s film “Rock n Rolla” Oct 7, 2008.
The actor’s representatives insisted the photographer was stalking the star, almost killing a pedestrian as he chased Butler through Hollywood.
The charge was dismissed at a hearing Tuesday after the actor completed community service, reported imdb.com.
Butler faced up to six months in jail if convicted.
