London, Dec 21 (Inditop.com) Hollywood filmmaker Roman Polanski isn’t allowing his legal woes to disrupt the editing of his latest movie “The Ghost Writer”. He is completing post-production work on the film while under house arrest in Switzerland.
Earlier this month, Polanski was transferred to his holiday home from a Swiss jail after more than 60 days in detention, reports contactmusic.com.
Swiss government officials revealed that Polanski will have to wait until January to find out whether he will be sent back to Los Angeles, where he is wanted for sentencing after pleading guilty to having sex with a 13-year-old girl in 1977.
French philosopher Bernard-Henri Levy, a friend of the 76-year-old director, says Polanski is working while the extradition request hangs over him.
“It’s in fact very impressive. He is in the process of finishing at a distance the editing of his next film,” said Levy.
Polanski wears an electronic monitoring bracelet around his ankle to prevent him from leaving the grounds of the chalet. But he is allowed to receive guests inside or outside the house, work on his films, make telephone calls and send e-mails.
