Rapper DIZZEE RASCAL has slammed Britain’s upcoming 2012 Olympics for turning his native East London into a “building hole”.
The Bonkers hitmaker grew up Bow, close to the site of the Olympic stadium in the capital’s Stratford, and he’s disgusted with what he sees when he goes to visit the borough.
He says, “All that 2012 stuff does my head in. I’m not even a little bit excited. I don’t still live in Bow, but I go back all the time and it’s s**t. The whole area is just a big building hole.”
But despite his unhappiness about the event taking place in London, he admits he’d like to perform at the opening ceremony: “Maybe I should be involved because I’m from the area. I’d do the ceremony but they need to be talking about the right situation.”
