New Delhi, July 30 (IANS) A total of 12 electronic compressed natural gas (CNG) filling stations will come up in Delhi before the Oct 3-14 Commonwealth Games, Transport Minister Arvinder Singh Lovely said Friday.

He said after the setting of such stations, it would only take about five minutes in filling CNG buses as against 25 minutes presently.

Lovely said the facility will be started in the Delhi Transport Corporation’s Millennium Park Complex on Ring Road soon.

The minister said the step will help DTC take more trips and save time. It will also mean that more buses would be available to cater to the transportation need of sportspersons and delegates during the Games.

He said the DTC has started installation of 1,000 bus shelters in parts of the capital ahead of the Games.
