Mumbai, Oct 31 (IANS) Bharatiya Janata Party leader L.K. Advani’s anti-corruption Jan Chetna Yatra will enter Mumbai Nov 4 afternoon from Airoli-Mulund, in north part of the city, a party leader said here Monday.
Through the yatra, which started Oct 11 in Bihar, Advani is advocating clean and good governance, said Mumbai BJP chief Raj Purohit.
Besides Purohit, Advani will be welcomed by party leaders and thousands of activists.
‘Later that (Friday) evening, Advani will address a public meeting in Borivli West. It will have speakers like state party chief Sudhir Mungantiwar, senior BJP leaders Ananth Kumar, Gopinath Munde, Kirit Somaiya, Shiv Sena executive president Uddhav Thackeray and Republican Party of India chief Ramdas Athavale,’ Purohit said.
Prior to the public meeting, the yatra will traverse through the densely-populated areas of Mulund East and West, Bhandup, Vikhroli, Ghatkopar East and West, Powai, Jogeshwari, Goregaon West, Malad West, Kandivli West and reach Kora Kendra ground in Borivli West for the public meeting.
On Nov 5, Advani will address a press conference and then leave for Gujarat.
