Lucknow, Nov 3 (IANS) Samajwadi Party president Mulayam Singh Yadav Wednesday revoked the expulsion of the party’s most prominent Muslim face, Azam Khan.
This was communicated to Khan by party general secretary Ram Gopal Yadav.
Confirming he had received the letter, Khan told reporters: ‘A formal decision in this regard would have to be taken by the party’s disciplinary committee.’
Khan, a long-time foe of the once powerful Amar Singh, was expelled in May 2009 for six years for ‘anti-party activities’.
