Mumbai, June 19 (IANS) A member of the insurgent Babbar Khalsa International group was Saturday arrested from a Mumbai suburb and three weapons and 40 bullets were seized from him, police said.
The Mumbai Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) arrested Nishant Singh Karam Singh from Chembur.
‘We had information about Singh, who was coming from Nanded (in Maharashtra). We arrested him and seized a double barrel shot gun with 24 rounds, two .32 pistols and 40 rounds of ammunition,’ said ATS Chief Rakesh Maria.
‘He is from Babbar Khalsa International terrorist organization,’ Maria added.
Maria said that a Punjab Police team will come to Mumbai to question Singh.
