Patna, Jan 15 (Inditop.com) A bright sun and an increase in the minimum temperature brought respite from the biting cold to the people of Bihar Friday.

Patna recorded a minimum temperature of 10.6 degrees Celsius Friday, Animesh Chand, the Met director here, said. This was a marked rise from the temperature two days ago, which had dipped below 5 degrees Celsius.

“We are enjoying a clear and bright day after a long spell of icy westerly winds and a cloudy sky,” businessman Manish Kumar Sinha said.

Amit Singh, another resident here, said he loved the cold weather, but not the cold wave. “I am happy that the depressing weather is finally over now.”

The cold wave has claimed over 50 lives in the past two weeks in the state.

All schools in the state will open Monday. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar had ordered the closure of all schools till Jan 15.
