New Delhi, Feb 17 (IANS) After intermittent showers for three consecutive days, Delhi witnessed a clear and pleasant day Thursday as the temperatures remained below average. The met office has predicted sunny days ahead.

‘The maximum temperature was 21.3 degrees Celsius (three notches below average), while the minimum was 9.8 degrees (a notch below average),’ an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

However, early morning fog disrupted flight operations in the city and around 20 flights were affected. Around 10 incoming flights were diverted to nearby airports as the runway visibility dropped to 50 metres.

The humidity levels wavered between a high of 97 and a low of 47 percent, the official added.

According to the IMD, Friday will see clear skies and bright sunshine as there is no prediction of rain.

‘The maximum and minimum temperature are expected to hover around 22 and 8 degrees Celsius,’ the IMD official added.
