New Delhi, July 27 (IANS) A cloudy morning in the capital again held out the promise of Friday. The weather office forecast light rains ahead as the minimum temperature settled two notches above average at 28.7 degree Celsius.
The rain has so far proved elusive this monsoon season. The capital recorded just 0.1 mm of rain in 24 hours.
A cloudy day lies ahead with chances of light rain. The maximum temperature is likely to be around 34 degree Celsius, said an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
Humidity recorded at 8.30 a.m. was 73 percent.
Thursday’s maximum and minimum temperature both settled a notch above the average at 33.2 and 27.7 degree Celsius respectively.
