New Delhi, July 5 (IANS) The Supreme Court Monday dismissed a petition seeking a thorough scrutiny of Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) accounts by the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG).
The apex court bench headed by Chief Justice S.H. Kapadia asked counsel Manjusha Wadhawa, appearing for petitioner Alok Varshney, if the accounts of the BCCI were not being audited as per the Company Act.
The court rejected the plea when Manjusha said the accounts should be audited by the CAG for the transparent functioning of the cricket body.
