New Delhi, Dec 29 (IANS) Delhi Police said Saturday the charge-sheet in the gang-rape of a 23-year-old woman in a moving bus will be filed Jan 3. The victim died early Saturday in a Singapore hospital, where she had been flown for treatment.
Special Commissioner of Police (Law and Order) Dharmendra Kumar said that the chargesheet in the gang-rape case will be filed Jan 3, 2013.
Just after the death of the victim, police added murder and dacoity in the initial FIR, which had attempt to murder, kidnapping or abducting, gang-rape and others.
An officer said that they have collected all evidences against the accused and have prepared a 1,000-page chargesheet.
In the chargesheet, police clarified the role of the all six accused – Ram Singh, his brother Mukesh, Vinay Sharma, Pawan Gupta and Akshay Thakur – who are in judicial custody.
A juvenile, involved in the case, has been sent to a juvenile justice home.
The accused were arrested between Dec 17-21.
The girl and her male friend were brutally assaulted by the accused after they boarded the bus Dec 16 around 9.15 p.m. from a bus stop in south Delhi’s Munirka.
